Only twenty miles, a twenty-five minute road trip, away from San Diego off CA-94 W, Lakeside lies near Lindo Lake and Willowbrook Country Club. The land that is now Lakeside was bought by the El Cajon Valley Land Company in 1886. It started as a resort town, and is now a city that promotes health and relaxation. Lakeside is also known as a cowboy town because it is home to a permanent rodeo known as Lakeside Rodeo Grounds. The local community also takes part in many social service groups including the Boys and Girls Club, VFW, Elks, and Peacebuilders. Families can take their children out to Lindo Lake Park on the weekend to walk, jog, and have an outdoor picnic with the family.

Lakeside is a close-knit city of only 20,000, which also has several schools you will feel good sending your children to.
