Santee is 17 miles, 24 minutes away from San Diego and is just off CA-125 S. Incorporated in 1980, Santee is a new municipality of only 32 years. Santee is considered the twelfth largest city in San Diego County and about half of its land is not yet developed. This is one of the few cities in the county that has room to grow and develop. Santee’s City Council has recently approved a 700 acre mixed use development plan, also known as the Town Center Specific Plan that will straddle the San Diego River. This project will include a variety of recreational activities, an office park, multi-family residents, and a shopping center.

Santee School District
The Santee School District contains 10 schools that parents can choose from when they are looking to provide their child with a quality education. These schools focus on developing strong college bound students that will be well-prepared once the graduate from high school. Several schools to choose from include Cajon Park School, Carlton Hills School, Hill Creek School, Pepper Drive School, Sycamore Canyon School, and a few others located in the school district.
